Tropical Storm Erika moved passed South Carolina on August 31, 2015 and dumped 6.4 inches of rain on Charleston. High tide that morning was at daybreak and what better place to be than out on Edisto Island. I drove all night from the mountains of North Carolina to photograph what I knew was going to be some epic storm surge on Botany Bay Beach. I was not disappointed!
From My Eyes to Yours - I try to capture the beauty of nature as I see it. I am primarily a landscape and wildlife photographer specializing in the Southeastern United States. My home in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina makes Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway and hundreds of area waterfalls favorite subjects. Florida and the coast of the Carolinas and Georgia are areas I continue to enjoy exploring.
