Artist's Description

The Davis Cabin at the Mountain Farm Museum in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Likely built entirely from one American Chestnut Tree! Built with hand tools and still standing today. Many of the buildings and exhibits at the Mountain Farm Museum were originally located at different areas of the park and relocated.

I always try to imagine what America looked like with virgin forests and massive chestnut trees, no roads, asphalt jungles, shopping malls or pollution.
