At 18 miles long and 7 miles wide, Lake Mattamusket is the largest natural lake in North Carolina. The lake is shallow with an average depth of between 2-3 feet which allows for these amazing trees to add to the beauty.
Home to bald eagles and a variety of aquatic life, this lake serves as a major wintering ground for many species of birds.
